چکیده
The vadose zone plays a significant role during artificial recharge via the infiltration basin. Its thickness, lithology, heterogeneity, among others greatly affect efficiency. main objective of this research is to establish and impacts basin features factors on water distributions. In work, an ideal conceptual model was considered, mathematical models were built using HYDRUS (2D/3D) software package version 2.05. A total 138 numerical experiments implemented under seven types experimental conditions. data analyzed with aid correlation regression analysis. results showed that had various distribution, low permeability formation effects evaporation depending its depth, there consistent, similar, or different variation trends between recharge. conclusion, it recommended when zones are be chosen as site, trade-off infiltration, recharge, storage, should seriously considered. This paper may contribute better understanding buffer for

Movement of water infiltrated from a recharge basin to wells.
Local surface water and stormflow were infiltrated intermittently from a 40-ha basin between September 2003 and September 2007 to determine the feasibility of recharging alluvial aquifers pumped for public supply, near Stockton, California. Infiltration of water produced a pressure response that propagated through unconsolidated alluvial-fan deposits to 125 m below land surface (bls) in 5 d and...
متن کاملArtificial Ground Water Recharge with a Special Reference to India
Artificial groundwater recharge is a process by which the groundwater reservoir is augmented at a rate exceeding the augmentation rate under natural conditions of replenishment. In some parts of India, due to over-exploitation of groundwater, decline in groundwater levels resulting in shortage of supply of water, and intrusion of saline water in coastal areas have been observed. In such areas, ...
متن کاملArtificial Recharge via Boreholes Using Treated Wastewater: Possibilities and Prospects
Interest in artificial recharge of groundwater using pretreated wastewater continues to increase, especially in semi-arid countries. After the artificial recharge and natural treatment, the water could be extracted through boreholes pumping for direct irrigation. The selection of suitable locations for artificial recharge should be based on hydrogeological conditions, economic evaluation and en...
متن کاملimprovability of water infiltration in an erosion-prone soils under laboratorial conditions through artificial increasing of soil microorganisms population
runoff production process is a key hydrological component illustrating watersheds health. water infiltration in soil is also one of the determinant factors on runoff generation for which many techniques were used to improve it. however, the role of microorganisms for the improvement of water infiltration in soil has been less considered. the present study therefore tried to investigate the effe...
متن کاملAnalysis of short-time single-ring infiltration under falling-head conditions with gravitational effects
Analytical solutions of the flow equation for infiltration offer an interesting tool for the hydrodynamic characterization of non-saturated soils by optimization of the hydraulic conductivity, Kfs, and the capillary sorptivity, So. However, the experimental conditions have to satisfy the governing assumptions. For falling head infiltration tests the initial water height, Ho, is a third unknown ...
